As you may be aware, there is a nationwide shortage of veterinarians at the moment. CHB Vets has been affected by this with the loss of two veterinarians, unable to be replaced at this time.
In order for CHB Vets to provide a sustainable emergency afterhours service for you, we have joined with Vet Services weekend roster. This will mean that any emergency calls between 5.30pm Fridays through to 8am Mondays will be transferred to Vet Services answering service. Patients will be seen at Vet Services clinic on Takapau Road and will be on a payment at the time basis.
While this a different system to the past, it will ensure the welfare of your animals is maintained. This only affects the emergency afterhours service and our normal clinic hours will continue as before.
